Education Policy

Introduction

The purpose of this policy is to convey the general assumptions and aims of the Society in nurturing the life-long learning of all! To this end it is hoped that we can update and amend this policy to take account of new initiatives, both locally and nationally.

  5. With the provision of interpretive panels we aim to enlighten members of the public who visit our reserves.
  6. By bringing together specialists in particular disciplines we aim to enhance the knowledge of others.
  7. We aim to make our activities enjoyable and memorable for those who take part, thus creating a positive attitude towards the countryside, ecology and wildlife in general.
  8. We aim to promote a responsible attitude towards other citizens and our natural heritage.
  9. Where resources allow, we aim to produce educational material to be used by local groups, organisations, schools and colleges.
